Meet Austin Marland, Owner/Operator

Austin didn't stumble into tree care by accident. Growing up, he spent countless weekends in his high school woodshop, learning to appreciate the unique qualities of different wood species. That early fascination with trees eventually pulled him toward a career where he could work with them every day—just on a much larger scale.

After moving to Albuquerque in 2012, Austin discovered the unique challenges of maintaining trees in New Mexico's semi-arid climate. In 2018, he started working for local tree service companies, learning the trade from the ground up—literally. He spent years doing ground work, climbing cottonwoods in the Bosque, and eventually managing operations for other companies.

But after nearly a decade in the industry, Austin saw an opportunity to do things differently. Too many homeowners were getting poor communication, rushed work, or prices that didn't match the value they received. In June 2025, he launched Maven Tree Services with a straightforward mission: deliver exceptional tree care with the kind of customer service that builds long-term relationships.

Today, Austin brings nearly 10 years of hands-on experience to every project. He's BBB certified and has worked in every aspect of tree care—from dangerous storm removals to delicate pruning jobs that require an artist's eye. Maven Tree Services is a fully licensed business registered with the State of New Mexico. You can verify our business license directly through the New Mexico Secretary of State website. We maintain all required local and state licensing to operate legally throughout the Albuquerque metro area. Verify our license.

Insured

We carry $1 million in general liability insurance to protect your property.
